The INA3221 is a three-channel, high-side current and bus voltage monitor with an I2C- and SMBus-compatible interface. The INA3221 can monitor both shunt voltage drop and bus supply voltage, and provides programmable conversion times and averaging modes for these signals. The INA3221 features critical alerts and warning alerts to detect multiple programmable out-of-range conditions on each channel.

The INA3221 senses current on the bus (with bus voltage ranging from 0V to +26V). The device operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply, with a typical supply current consumption of 350μA. The INA3221 is rated for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The I2C- and SMBus-compatible interface provides four programmable addresses.

Features:

  • Three-channel monitoring, each with its own bus voltage measurement
  • 0.1Ω 1% 2W current sense resistor
  • Up to 26V detection voltage, ±8mV accuracy
  • Up to ±1.638A current measurement, ±0.4mA accuracy
  • PCB size: 38 × 32 mm
  • Weight (excluding pin headers and other components): 4.4 g
  • The module supports four selectable I2C addresses via solder jumpers: 0x40, 0x41, 0x44, 0x45
