Terms of service
1. Overview
This website, daogu.ca, is operated by DaoGu, based in Langley, British Columbia, Canada ("DaoGu", "we", "us"). When you visit the site or buy from us, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform used to sell our products.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory to place an order, or have a parent or guardian's permission to use the site.
3. Products and intended use
We sell electronic components, modules, development boards, and hobby parts for prototyping, learning, and DIY projects.
- Our products are not certified for medical, life-support, automotive safety, or other safety-critical uses. Sensors such as gas, motion, or temperature modules are not a substitute for certified safety or alarm devices.
- Some products require care when used. Laser diodes can harm eyes: never look into the beam or point it at people, animals, or vehicles. Lithium battery chargers, boost converters, and motor drivers can overheat or cause fire if wired incorrectly.
- You are responsible for using products safely, following the relevant datasheets, and complying with any applicable laws.
We try to describe and photograph products accurately. However, components from different production batches may differ slightly in colour, markings, or board layout without affecting their function.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and may change without notice. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
Payment is processed securely through Shopify's checkout. We do not store your full card details.
5. Orders
We may refuse or cancel an order, for example when an item is out of stock, there is a pricing error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
6. Shipping and local pickup
We currently ship within Canada. Shipping options, prices, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
Free local pickup is available in Langley, BC. After your order is ready, we'll email you to arrange a pickup time. Please collect orders within 14 days, or let us know if you need more time.
7. Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
8. Digital products
Digital files, such as 3D printing files, are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may print the design for yourself, but you may not resell, share, or redistribute the files without our written permission.
9. Intellectual property
The content on this site, including text, photos, and original designs, belongs to DaoGu or its licensors. Please don't copy or reuse it without our permission. Product names and trademarks of other manufacturers belong to their respective owners.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DaoGu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our products or site. This includes damage to other equipment, lost data, or lost profits.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Third-party links
Our site may link to datasheets, tutorials, or other websites that we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
