Product Details

  1. Input Voltage Range: DC 3.3V to 5V
  2. Output Signal: The module features two analog outputs and one digital output interface. The output values correspond to the (X, Y) dual-axis offset, and their type is analog. The button indicates whether the user has pressed down on the Z-axis, and its type is a digital switch value.
  3. It can be programmed via an Arduino controller and plugged into a sensor expansion board to create creative remote-control interactive projects.
  4. The thumb joystick is a bidirectional 10K resistor. As the joystick moves in different directions, the resistance value of the wiper changes accordingly. This module uses a 5V power supply. In the resting state, the X and Y output voltages are approximately 2.5V. When pressed in the direction of the arrow, the read voltage value decreases, down to a minimum of 0V.

Essentially, this module is a potentiometer. The data output for the X and Y dimensions is the voltage value read from the analog ports. The data output for the Z dimension is not shown in the diagram above; it only outputs 0 and 1, functioning through a combined button mechanism. When using it with an Arduino, we connect the X and Y dimensions to two analog ports to read their values, while the Z dimension is connected to a digital port, along with power and ground.
